WIC Approved Food

WIC benefits can be used to buy healthy food at over 340 authorized grocery stores statewide. WIC foods are chosen because they contain nutrients needed for pregnancy, breastfeeding, infancy, and early childhood. Examples of WIC foods include milk, yogurt, cheese, eggs, juice, fish, whole grains, cereal, peanut butter, beans (dried or canned), fresh fruits and vegetables, infant formula and baby food.

For a complete list of WIC-approved foods, view the "WIC Approved Food List (XLSL)" link. For more information please view the WIC Program Booklet English (PDF) or the WIC Program Booklet Spanish (PDF).

WIC Food Packages

WIC Food Packages provide a variety of foods but not everything you need. Adding your WIC foods to foods you usually eat will help you have a healthier diet. The food package you receive depends upon whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and the age of your child.
